It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing away of Marhum Dr Aziz Sachedina, who passed away on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025, in Fairfax, Virginia. Marhum will be buried on Friday, December 5th, 2025. Salaat al Mayyit to commence at 1:45 pm – 2:30 pm at Manassas Mosque, 12950 Center Entrance Ct, Manassas, VA 20109. Burial to follow at Stonewall Memorial Gardens, 12004 Lee Hwy, Manassas, VA 20109.
Marhum was the husband of Sr. Fatima Sachedina.
Marhum was the father of Alireza Sachedina and Muhammadreza Sachedina.
Marhum was the brother of Marhuma Zarina Jaffer, Marhum Salim Sachedina, Marhuma Gulshan Tajri, Marhum Majid Sachedina, Marhuma Zainab Fazal and Sr. Raziya Sachedina.
Marhum was the first Alim of ISIJ of Toronto in 1970.
May Almighty Allah (swt) rest the Marhum’s departed soul in eternal peace in Jannah and give the family the fortitude to bear this monumental loss – Ameen.
Surah Al-Fatiha is requested for Marhum Dr Aziz Sachedina and all other Marhumeen.
